BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1676 E, ex-Sebring, ex-Spink. S-P37b; KM-26; Cal-708. 21.56 grams. Thin and worn but with great full pillars-and-waves, full but weaker cross, two dates (possibly 6/5), three mintmarks and assayers, no toning, with excellent pedigrees going back to the original auction of material from this shipwreck (before it was identified as Consolación). Pedigreed to the Tom Sebring Collection (American Numismatic Rarities auction of January 2004, with original lot-tag 1565) and to Spink's (New York) "Isla de Muerto" auction of December 2001 (lot 722, the date mis-described as 1667). Recovered from: Consolación, sunk in 1681 off Santa Clara Island, Ecuador
