BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1658 E. S-P37a; KM-21; Cal-Type 335. 21.90 grams. Bold details despite moderate corrosion, including full pillars and particularly bold full waves, nice full cross-lions-castles (but too indistinct at top to tell whether it is 8 or pomegranate, which are different numbers in Calicó), two dates and assayers, three mintmarks, a bit silvery all over. With original photo-certificate from the salvor (Allan Gardner). Recovered from: “Jupiter Wreck” (San Miguel Arcángel), sunk in 1659 off the east coast of Florida
