BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1651 (modern 5) O, with crowned-O and crowned-arms countermarks on cross (very rare with two countermarks), ex-Capitana, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-1489. 20.29 grams. Corroded (especially in peripheries) but with clear full shield and cross (VF details), king's ordinal IIII, date in normal position with dots between digits, the first countermark deep and full in center of cross and the other also deep but typically partial and clinging to the edge at bottom left, mostly toned, edge-split. From the Capitana (1654), pedigreed to the Luis R.
