BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1651 E, with crown-alone ("jester's cap") countermark on cross, ex-Maravillas, ex-Harley, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P36; KM-19b; Cal-1491. 27.12 grams. Choice example with corrosion only on date near edge, nearly full legends and well-detailed interiors with bold and nearly full countermark (very scarce) on left arm of full cross-and-tressure, king's ordinal IIII and two full assayers, overall AXF, mostly brown-toned.
