BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1651 E, with crown-alone and crowned-C countermarks on shield (very rare with two countermarks), ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P36; KM-19b; Cal-1491. 24.64 grams. Choice broad flan with minimal surface pitting (nicely toned VF), the metal extending well past the outer border in places, particularly at the full and bold date, also with bold full king's ordinal IIII outside of full shield (with full crown above) sporting nearly full countermarks above and below center, slightly crude edge with splits and minor bends.
