BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1651 E/O, with crowned-script-P countermark (very rare) on cross, ex-Capitana, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P36; KM-19b; Cal-1490. 28.22 grams. Solid and nearly corrosion-free Fine (overweight) with full legend including date around full cross-and-tressure with very bold countermark (this variety of P once considered to be a "phi") to lower left, doubled shield with bold P•E/O to left and king's ordinal IIII in legend, traces of toning in crevices.
