BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, (1651-52) (O or E), with crowned-C and crown-alone countermark on shield (very rare with two countermarks), ex-Capitana, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. KM-19b; Cal-Type 327. 21.54 grams. Solid but thin (yet without visible corrosion), with both countermarks full (the crown-alone very bold, the crowned-C scarce) near center of shield below choice full crown, weaker and slightly off-center full cross, Fine with brown-toned crevices, two small edge-splits. From the Capitana (1654), pedigreed to the Ponterio "Capitana" auction of April 1999 (lot 65) and the Luis R.
