BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, (1651-52) E, with crown-alone (fancy) countermark (rare) on cross, ex-Capitana, ex-Hudson, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P36; KM-19b; Cal-Type 327. 26.86 grams. Solid coin with minimal surface pitting (lightly toned AVF), full cross with bold full 16 of date but the rest of date covered by 100% full countermark, doubled shield with bold denomination 8 to right. From the Capitana (1654), pedigreed to the Louis Hudson Collection (Sedwick Auction 6, lot 343) and the Luis R.
