BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, (1651-52) E, with crown-alone countermark on shield and crown-alone countermark (rare variety) on cross (very rare with two countermarks), ex-Capitana, ex-Hudson, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P36; KM-19b; Cal-Type 327. 24.02 grams. Odd-shaped flan with well-centered full shield showing full countermark in center, off-center cross with flan extending well past the outer border, very bold and nearly full countermark at top (covering the date), AXF with light surface corrosion, toned in crevices. From the Capitana (1654), pedigreed to the Louis Hudson Collection (Sedwick Auction 6, lot 342) and the Luis R.
