BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1650 (modern 5) O, with two crowned-T countermarks on shield and crowned-script-P countermark on cross (extremely rare with three countermarks), ex-Capitana, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-1488. 18.49 grams. Thin from corrosion but with good full shield sporting two identical countermarks (one full and the other nearly so), P•O to left and 8-O to right, weaker cross with faint but clear third countermark to right, clear 160 of date (doubled) at 11 to 1 o'clock (this variety known to have modern 5 and dots between digits), AVF details, edge-crack.
