BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1650 O, with crowned-• countermark (extremely rare) on cross, ex-Capitana, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-1488. 23.69 grams. Thin from light corrosion but with nice VF details (centers), toned in crevices, the full crown unusually well detailed, with full •P-O• to left and •8-O• to right of full shield with bold king's ordinal IIII in legend, full date outside full cross-and-tressure with bold (80%) countermark in center (missing in Ullian's list and unknown until this coin appeared in Sedwick Auction 12), new style shield and cross with normal 5 in date. From the Capitana (1654), pedigreed to Sedwick Auction 12 (lot 486) and the Luis R.
