BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1650 O, with crowned-G countermark (rare) on shield, ex-Capitana, ex-Hudson, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-1488. 18.00 grams. New-style shield and cross, very thin from moderate corrosion and with large crack but with full inner details, the shield bold, with clear •8•O• to right inside full king's name, nice crown above, deep countermark right of center, contrastingly toned. From the Capitana (1654), pedigreed to the Louis Hudson Collection (Sedwick Auction 6,lot 327) and the Luis R.
