BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1650 O, with crowned-•F• countermark (two dots) on shield, ex-Ponterio. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-1488. 27.74 grams. Very choice example with no corrosion at all, 100% complete shield with full countermark to left, bold full 8-O to right, nearly full crown and most of king's name, full but slightly off-center cross with just the bottom of the 0 of the date visible, contrastingly toned all over. From the Ponterio "La Capitana" auction of April 1999, with original lot-tag 189. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
