BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1650 O, with crown-alone (seven points, rare) countermark on cross, ex-Christie's. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-1488. 23.19 grams. Choice full cross and shield with only light corrosion around edge, full date with 5 and 0 of date double-struck on top of each other, full upper half of countermark with distinctive crown in top-left quadrant of cross, toned in crevices, edge-split, desirable pedigree. Pedigreed to the Christie's "Treasure from Spanish Shipwrecks" auction of April 1993, with original lot-tag 308, and with original MAREX tag 91-8R-0144. Recovered from: Maravillas, sunk in 1656 off Grand Bahama Island
