BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, (1650-51) O, with crowned-L countermark on cross, ex-Capitana, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-Type 327. 27.17 grams. Solid flan with some surface corrosion and much flatness (Fine overall), patchy dark toning and edge-split, with bold and nearly full countermark on off-center cross with flan extending well past the outer border, two clear assayers flanking shield with king's ordinal IIII in legend, new style on both sides (hence date could be either 1650 or 1651).
