BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1649 Z, with crowned-G countermark on cross, ex-Capitana (1654), ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P34; KM-19a; Cal-1485. 21.00 grams. Broad-flan VF with minimal visible surface corrosion, small edge-splits, toned in fields, full 16 and faint tail of 9 of date outside of full cross with nearly complete countermark in center, good full shield with clear P-Z to left and bold king's ordinal IIII in legend (with flan extending past the outer border). From the Capitana (1654), pedigreed to the Luis R.
