BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1649 Z, with crowned-•F• (four dots) countermark on shield, ex-Capitana (1654), ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P34; KM-19a; Cal-1485. 23.77 grams. Choice, corrosion-free VF with elegant toning, bold full Z to left and 8 to right of full shield boasting the nearly complete countermark in center, good full cross but with flat area where countermark is on the other side, very bottoms of digits of date only. From the Capitana (1654), pedigreed to the Ponterio "Capitana" auction of April 1999 (lot 202) and to the Luis R.
