BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1649 O, with crowned-script-Z countermark on shield (very rare), ex-Capitana, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-1487. 27.54 grams. Choice broad flan with practically no corrosion (VF+), contrastingly toned, with slightly doubled full shield showing very bold •P-O• to left and 8• to right inside of complete countermark at very edge, bold full cross-lions-castles with full 164 and most of 9 of date despite flat periphery that curiously shows a brockage of the countermark at bottom right, hairline edge-split.
