BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1649 O, with crowned-L countermark on cross, ex-Capitana, ex-Hudson, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-1487. 27.18 grams. Well-preserved and corrosion-free VF with attractively contrasting toning, the 9 of date particularly bold outside of full cross (doubled in periphery) with nearly full countermark on left side, choice full shield with bold •8• to right and bottom half of crown above. From the Capitana (1654), pedigreed to the Louis Hudson Collection (Sedwick Auction 6, lot 298) and the Luis R.
