BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1649 O, with crown-alone and crowned-C countermarks on shield (very rare with two countermarks), ex-Capitana, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-1487. 18.79 grams. Oblong flan, thin from corrosion and with small edge-split but Fine overall, with contrasting toning, good full shield and cross, full assayer and denomination, bold full 49 date, nearly full main countermark overlapping most of weaker second countermark on right part of shield.
