BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, (1649) O/sR, rare, with crowned-L countermark on cross, ex-Ponte, Mastalir Plate. S-P35; KM-19b; Cal-unl (Type 327). 26.91 grams. Broad, oblong flan with no corrosion but flat peripheries with parts of edge crude (as made), very bold full P-O/sR to left of full but partially flat shield, nice full cross with nearly full countermark at top right, lightly toned VF overall. Pedigreed to the Luis R.
