Bold date with last two digits somewhat squeezed at end of legend outside of complete cross-and-tressure, bold full P+T and o-VIII flanking full but doubled shield, richly toned VF, rare and desirable classic reference pedigree (seldom offered). Pedigreed to the "Americas" Collection (Kagin's auction of August 1983, with original lot-tag 1126) and Plate Coin 989 on page 300 of Calbetó's Compendio de las Piezas de Ocho Reales (1970).
