BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1620 (T), 2 in date rendered as Z/N (unique), quadrants of cross transposed, ex-Atocha Research Collection (coin 227). S-P21; KM-10; Cal-930. 19.37 grams. Thin and edge-truncated from heavy corrosion (cross and shield still full, the latter bold) but with 100% full date showing a unique error where the penultimate digit (using an N punch) was originally punched in sideways (making it look like a Z) but then overpunched with the correct orientation, first we have ever seen or heard of. Pedigreed to the Bill Barman Collection of Atocha RC Coins, with original Fisher tag and photo-certificate 85A-236613. Photocopy of original Atocha Research Collection catalog to be provided to winning bidder upon request. Recovered from: Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
