BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 4 reales, Philip IV, assayer not visible (1620s), quadrants of cross transposed, "flat" lions. KM-17; Cal-Type 279. 12.84 grams. Full and bold but doubled cross and off-center shield with most of king's name in legend, no visible corrosion, toned in crevices. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
