BOLIVIA, Potosí, bust 8 reales, Charles IV, 1808 PJ. KM-73; Cal-732. 23.48 grams. Interesting piece with an old sticker (late 1800s?) covering most of the obverse stating the shipwreck origin in handwritten Portuguese. Corroded and a bit encrusted though with visible date and decent shield side details (around XF overall), small gouge on rim. With old sticker in Portuguese and small old envelope written in English, pedigreed to Sedwick Auction 20, with original lot-tag 551. Recovered from: HMS Thetis, sunk in 1830 off Cabo Frio, Brazil
