BELGIUM, bronze plaquette, 1957, APPCB award to "La Nuit électrique à Bruxelles," by Eugene Jean de Bremaecker (1879-1963). 258 grams total. 68 mm. Obverse: St. Michael slaying the dragon on stand held by two large hands above A.P.P.C.B., engraver's name at right; Reverse: LA NUIT ELECTRIQUE BRUXELLES / 16 DECEMBRE 1957. This was an award from the Association Professionnelle de la Presse Cinématographique Belge (Belgium) for an episode of a TV comedy series called "Trente six chandelles" (Thirty-six Candles). Mint State with light cabinet rub on the high points, nice chocolate-brown coloration throughout. Housed in original velvet frame with cardboard-back stand.
