Arizpe (Sonora), Mexico, uniface silver military medal with loop, 1858, defense of Tekax, Yucatan, very rare, Grove plate specimen. Grove-D154a. 10.0 grams. Thin, oval medal with simple declaration in crude lettering including the date 1857, after which an incuse .58 is appended, VF with dark contrasting toning on fields, important piece with desirable pedigree.
