Anguilla, 1 "Liberty" dollar, July 11, 1967, countermark on a Mexico City, Mexico, 5 pesos, 1952, Hidalgo, NGC MS 63. KM-X1. Frosty host with strong luster, bold and well-centered countermark lettering, tied with one other for second finest in NGC census, interesting type made by San Francisco Chronicle editor Scott Newhall to support Anguilla's secession from the British Commonwealth, with only a couple thousand of the 11,600 silver dollar-sized coins countermarked actually sold to collectors and many of those melted in subsequent years. NGC #5963046-007.
