1806 American Revolutionary War-period inspection roll of soldiers of the 7th Co. of the 28th Connecticut regiment militia returning from battle, in two parts. . 18" x 10-1/2" and 10-3/4" x 4-3/4".Two documents tabulating the names and ranks of 61 returning soldiers and their equipment (swords, guns, bayonets, etc.) on one document and summarizing the soldiers' ranks on the other (smaller) document, signed by the ranking officer, Capt. Abel Hawley (1763-1855), both in excellent condition save for folds in the bigger document, an interesting piece of Revolutionary War history.
