1741 thick vellum-bound book in Latin entitled De Romana Republica, Sive de Re Militari & Civili Romanorum ad Explicandos Scriptores Antiquos, by Petro Josepho Cantelio. 4-3/4" x 7"; 460 pages. A 2nd edition printed in Venice by Apud Dominicum Tabaccum, this tome concerns Roman military and civil life, its main value being the many engravings inside, including a small map of ancient Rome with a legend describing each and every building and place (especially useful for archeologists), good condition overall but separated binding.
