Glass preserves bottle, A. Kemp, ex-SS Republic (1865). 642 grams. 9-1/4" tall, 3-3/4" in diameter. Large and impressive light-green bottle with 3/4" lip for storing and transporting preserves, the maker's name "A. Kemp" and "New York" on the side, intact and ready for display. The bottle's cork is still present at the bottom of the bottle, having been pushed inwards by the water pressure at that depth. From the SS Republic (1865), with original salvor's certificate.
