Lima, Peru, cob 8 escudos, 1705H, NGC MS 62, ex-1715 Fleet and ex-Pullin (both designated on label), ex-Real Eight. S-L25a; KM-38.1; CT-15. 26.89 grams. Choice and well-centered full cross-lions-castles with bits of encrustation in crevices, full pillars-and-waves (slightly off-center) with full crown above, no doubling, nice rich gold color, highly desirable pedigree, also a rare date. NGC #4912399-001. From the 1715 Fleet and pedigreed to the John Pullin collection, also pedigreed to the Real Eight Co. collection as inventoried in 1967 (coin #AA-18, from the finds made in 1966), with photos, inventory and explanatory letter from The 1715 Fleet Society, and with photo-certificate. Also it is known this coin was recovered under Lease 1329, better known as the Douglass Beach Wreck site in Ft. Pierce.
