Gold chain (plain links), 22K, 43" long, 125 grams, ex-1715 Fleet, ex-Real Eight (Kip Wagner), ex-Ullian. Over 200 small (1/4") plain oval links in deep rich gold, rather wearable length and weight, and in perfectly intact condition (no damage or encrustation), with excellent provenance dating all the way back to when (and exactly where) it was found in 1964. From the 1715 Fleet ("Cabin wreck" site), with original Real Eight Co. certificate signed by Kip Wagner, plus photocopies of Lou Ullian journal entry and inventory sheet from July 21, 1964 on which this chain appears, in addition to a letter signed by Lou Ullian in 2010 from a former owner explaining the origin of this chain and showing a diagram of where the chain was found on the wrecksite.
