Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1652E transitional Type VII/A, ex-Mastalir. S-P37; KM-A20.7; CT-unl. 23.79 grams. Bold but doubled full pillars-and-waves and shield, parts of all three dates, moderate corrosion near edge only, toned on fields. Pedigreed to the Roberto Mastalir collection, #VII.a-A.aa(2)4 in his book (page 157), with Herman Moro photo-certificate #abf43, and pedigreed to our Auction #5, lot #237. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
