Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 165(1)E, modern 5, with crowned-L countermark on cross. S-P36; KM-19b; CT-511. 26.99 grams. Very bold date (except last digit) and countermark, nice full cross and shield, attractively toned and solid (no corrosion). From the Maravillas Research Collection of Countermarked Potosi Cobs, with Marex certificate and tag #0143. Recovered from: Maravillas, sunk in 1656 off Grand Bahama Island
