Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, (16)52E transitional Type IV/A. S-P37; KM-A20.4; CT-432. 24.62 grams. Solid and not visibly corroded, with full but doubled inner details, clear date in legend and to right of shield, rare die variety (only three known) according to Mastalir. Pedigreed to the Roberto Mastalir collection, #IV.1-A.bb1(2)1 in his book (page 97), with Herman Moro certificate, and pedigreed to the Ponterio auction of April 2001, with original lot-tag #1638. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
