Mexico City, Mexico, bust 8 reales, Charles III, 1780FF, rare provenance. KM-106.2; CT-930. 24.44 grams. Bold AU details, no toning, minimal surface corrosion but some loss on rims. It has been a while since we have offered a coin from this wreck, largely famous for the fact that Lloyd's of London still rings the bell from this ship when an insured ship goes down. Pedigreed to the Charles Eidel collection. Recovered from: HMS Lutine, sunk in 1799 off West Frisia, Netherlands
