Madrid, Spain, 40 centimos, Isabel II, 1866, 6-pointed stars, very rare provenance (Spanish-American War). CT-338; KM-628.2. 5.01 grams. Fine with toning around details, no corrosion or damage, desirable provenance explained eloquently by the accompanying Sebring article. Pedigreed to the Charles Eidel collection, with original certificate-envelope from 1898 and Sebring article from 1989. Recovered from: Infanta Maria Teresa, destroyed in 1898 off Santiago, Cuba
