Guatemala, 8 reales, sun-over-mountains countermark (Type II, 1839) on shield side of a Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 reales, (1)718(J), rare, ex-Richard Stuart. KM-unl (cf 105.2). 26.42 grams Good full countermark (deep XF), host coin AVG with much flatness but with bold 8 of date next to crude hole at one end of elongated flan. Oddly, KM lists only the later issues of Philip V for this type (1729-33). Pedigreed to the Richard Stuart collection.
