El Salvador, 2 reales, monogrammed "SALP" countermark (1836) on a Tegucigalpa, Honduras (Central American Republic), 2 reales 1831F, very rare. KM-25. 5.48 grams. Very deep and bold and well-toned countermark showing rarely-seen full monogram that clearly shows both an L and a P (hence not just "SAP" or "SAL" as commonly stated), host coin AXF with very weak centers but nice legends. Pedigreed to the Aureo auction of March 2010 (lot #1630).
